75-85 has to be the most cursed stat distribution for every mon ever. Offensively, you can't mix attack and end up losing 5-10 stat points from critical ones like speed and defensively it does jack shit to protect you against blitzing mons.

Skeledirge isn't the worst but my visceral gut reaction to Meowscarada has faded and now I just thin it's mediocre, maybe even alright after looking at it some more. We really need a better look at Quaquaval because it's sprite looks like a fucking mess because of the low res.

It changes your type completely. You get new weaknesses, new resistances, and new STAB. The only thing the pre-Terastal type affects is that if you Terastallize into a type you already have, you get x2 STAB instead of x1.5
So for example, if you Terastallize Skeledirge into a Water-type, it's weak to Grass and Electric, resists Fire, Ice, Steel, and Water, and gets normal STAB on Water-type moves, but loses all its prior weaknesses/resistances and no longer gets STAB on Fire and Ghost moves. But Terastallize it into a Fire or Ghost-type, then it only has the weaknesses/resistances of one of them, and gets super-STAB from Fire or Ghost moves

Eh. It affects my choice but not much. I'm torn between Sprigatito and Fuecoco now. Floragato is a great mid-evo, and Meowscarada has my preferred stat-spread, but design-wise it's just alright to me. Meanwhile Skeledirge has the better type and is exactly the sort of design I've been wanting from a Starter for a while now, but to get it I have to put up with the abomination that is Crocalor. Life's rough, lads
