they are not literally from the future. in-lore they are basically tulpas, pokemon that exist because people imagined them, and so they came to be. im not bullshitting you, this is actually how it is

damn, i was wondering if it was something more along the lines of experimentation and they'd pull a Mega Evolution and try and make you feel bad for using the mon because of the dex entries and lore and whatnot. that must not be the case then?
