Past forms were just more interesting, even the weaker designs are still funny. Plus I think people haven't looked at some aspect of the mechs hard enough to see how they fuck up the designs. Hydreigon's belly is an orb now while Gallade has a stick waist. Different angles will hurt some design, but help others like Misdreavus and Amoonguss who have details you miss.

cannot for the life of me understand the love for gallade + gardevoir and salamence.
salamence is just mega salamence with a far worse color palette (and mega salamence already looked terrible to begin with, let alone the base form), gallade + gardevoir is a cluttered mess that just looks like a gallade in a skirt above all else, which ends up looking like its mega's cape.

easily the worst two out of all of these; at least "jigglypuff and misdreavus with longer hair" are inoffensive, these are just horrible

huge points for mecha tyranitar and partial-larva volcarona though those things fuck

Salamence doesnt look so derpy. They slimed down its limbs to make it look more slick and agile and the feathers make it appear to look like a wild beast. Honestly what mega salamence should've been. Not a fan of the robo garde but i can see why people like it. Also there is nothing wrong with simplicity. Misdrevus and jigglypuff look fine, a few neat changes make them look brand new, unlike hydreigon who literally looks the same except mechanized. Didnt even bother to change the color scheme to differentiate it like tyranitar

He has spikes on his head, a shower curtain, different eyes and legs. As a caveman shroom he is pretty good and I think people are missing a lot of the changes.

Making them all literal mechas was a huge missed opportunity imo. Time skip evolutions/variants of Pokémon are a goldmine, and these fuckers settled on "uhhhhhhh a robot" for every single one. Gallevoir hurts the most, the two of them converging into a single species is such a cool concept.
