Personally, I think it's the snake. When the leaks came out I thought it could also be a repeat of the rooster, but the plover barley looks like a bird, so I don't really think it fits anymore. I guess it could also be the ox, but it being called a bull is English only, so I doubt a Japanese company would make that connection. No matter what, the crocodile and plover/basilisk/singer/sugar skull mon we got looks cool so I'm happy either way.

Zodiac theory never said the pokemon had to be exactly like their zodia animal counterparts retards. Litten isn't an actual tiger and Fennekin isn't an actual dog. However, they're both clearly inspired by the zodiac theory (Cats are cousins of tigers and Foxes are cousins of dogs).

In this same style of thinking, a crocodile is sort of a cousin to an ox since they both share the same name for males of their respective speaking. Therefore, we can safely call Fuecoco an Ox on the zodiac.

Yes. There are literal millions of different species on are planet. The male name bull being shared by such a small percentage of those literal millions makes the connection strong and means this is no mere coincidence that they chose a crocodile as the ox representative. They easily could've looked at an elephant or shark for inspiration too.
