How would they balance a game that includes all the once-per-battle gimmicks introduced since gen 6?

The anime coronation series ruleset: you can't use all of them at once. Since sumo lets u have megas and zmoves in the same battle, we can up it to two instead of just one like the anime.

Probably just by having everything be an absurd shitfest like with AG in Showdown, or only picking one as your basis. Alternately, have something like Battle Tower and online formats that only allow one gimmick that you have to build teams around.
