I do. I also want to take something of theirs while I'm there. They could also make the houses nice inside and worth exploring. Have there be useful information for secrets to find out in the world and lore for the area, good items to take, and people to trade pokemon with or get sidequests from.

well, i just stick around to see the new mons, new stuff like the regions, characters, stories, etc and laugh at the state of the series and go back to games i actually like playing

We got a more pokemon lively world but we also got cut out npc that do 5fps animation loops without any or much of indoor areas.

Bro it sucks. Open world is the wrong take for Pokemon. Nonlinear route exploration with routes built like Pokemon Snap levels would be a far better approach.

why would they?
they got it made in the shade as it is
they have a massive stake in the biggest IP in the world, exclusive to their consoles, and dont have to actually do anything other than promote it at directs and whatnot

what would they gain from buying it outright?

no, battles are back to gen 8 style despite being in the overworld, the only thing you can do is move the camera
