Alright lads, give me a new pokemon to make in Blender, given I have basically no experience, and I'll try to make one. You can join in too. Let's see how close we can get them in a reasonably short amount of time.

naclstack or garganacl would be much easier. i dont have a ton of experience with blender specifically, but im relatively well versed in CAD in general, and as a rule of thumb, the squarer something is, the easier it is to model

If you have experience, try espathra maybe?
Also, to give a reference, pic related is probably the 'best' thing I've made in Blender and it's a joined mess of different objects with interior geometry, not airtight at all

Your faces are way too big, so you can't really work with them. You want to go for something closer to the red lines on this image. Notice how the feet line up with polygons that are about the right size and the mouth is also adjacent to a line. It'll make things a LOT easier for you.

Also, take heed of the shape at the bottom here. When you're making limbs, making a "frame" of quads around the face gives you way more freedom with the girth of the limb.

Nice, I'm the guy who requested it, I like how it turned out!

In terms of my thing so far i sculpted a general mesh, and am currently working on the lower body proportions and hands since they don't look right.
