I haven't heard much about how good S/V is compared to the past games yet. I do think the graphics still look awful (would it kill you GameFreak to hire a competent environmental artist?). The human characters also look a little wonky imo. But the new Pokemon are overall pretty great, so I am on the fence for this one. Then again Sun/Moon tricked me so I am very hesitant.
