Why are people skipping over the part that the new Region resolves completely around a school setting, and they can just switch over to a slice of life anime the same way they did with Alola, which didn't even have a school theme in the videogame? Ash receives an acceptance letter from the Paldea school because the principal wants the world champ, maybe the school is failing and they need Ash's reputation to get the glory back, or they could even invite Ash to be a "teacher".

I think it would be best if Ash DIDN'T challenge the gyms this time around. Instead, I think that should go to Nemona, who is inspired by Ash's title of World Monarch and decides to challenge Paldea's gyms to become Champion so she can challenge Ash for his crown.

People have said this since forever, tourist. Ash has explicitly said becoming the strongest trainer is not enough to reach his goal of becoming a pokémon master. What being "a master" actually means is left ambiguous on purpose by TPC and the anime staff so they can keep it running for as long as they need to.

The anime staff has said that the bulk of the sales they get from the anime comes from syndication roghts all over the world, Japan's not as important for pokemon because of how HUGE the franchise is. You can't possibly fathom just how big it is,even more so than freaking Star Wars or even Marvel.
