>>52048996>it's based on something so that means it's good!>No, I don't care that the gold man is based on le string cheese mascot either, it looks like shit.I couldn't agree more.
FAR too often shit is justified with "but it's based on this so it's good!"
I cannot make it clear enough to you that I have posted your very same post countless times in the past.
However, my post did not make that claim.
I used visual evidence and cited sources that you can go and check yourself to see where the influence is; if your issue is with the execution, that's fine, even though it's in keeping with Pawniard and Bisharp so I'm not sure what else you would have wanted. The colour scheme is the same, the spiked embellishments are in keeping; the only outlier is the iron fibre hair, which, sure, are by far the weakest part of the design, but there isn't really much else in terms of options for him to sit on.
The reason I posted that wasn't to claim it's the best designed Pokémon ever (it certainly is not) but because most posts in this thread do not understand why it is sitting and cite THAT as their problem with the design. The concept and aesthetic is completely in keeping with Bisharp's line (it's a shock to me, too) so I think it's the least absolutely horrible in the entire gen. Still doesn't make it good, though.
