Are people that in love with the idea of open world games that it warrants calling a new game from a preexisting franchise the best of its series?
To me, and maybe I’m missing something and this guy and others genuinely find this title amazing, I just can’t see the hype. From making Scald locked to one Pokémon only, nerfing some abilities, nerfing recovery moves, and making several other unnecessary changes for the sake of “balance”, it makes the game way less fun.
I remember I bought BDSP, which also was my most liked Pokémon game since ORAS, and leveled up a Lopunny only to find out they removed Return and Frustration because of “balance”.
Fuck Game Freak lmao. TF2 has fucked up it’s meta by changing weapons for no reason like the YER and Caber to everyone’s chagrin, but it’s for the sake of “balance” guys it’s fine. This happens with fighting games too, ridiculous nerfs that the devs like but nobody actually gave a fuck in casual.
Also the dex looks like shit, save a few mons like the dolphin and Primeape Evo. Also 3D killed the art style.
I want to end by saying this, I hope everyone has an amazing time this generation and I want everyone to have fun. I’ll probably come back when the Black and White (goat btw) remakes come out.
