his blush is toned down. the baked-in shading on his skin, especially around the nose and mouth, are toned down. this helps makes his skin look brighter and his face less like plastic. they probably did this because during his first reveal people were complaining he looked more cartoonish and less anime.
the eyes are more vibrant with smaller pupils, a completely different texture. the dark spots in his ears are darker, making them pop out more. his hair is flat out a different saturation, making it more vibrant.
it's all very subtle and small changes but definitely improves the overall look.
