Stupid arbitrary rule that started in Gen 7 or where the generation's gimmick must be used on the ace's first turn and the ace must be the last Pokémon sent out.
The Elite Four and Champion of Paldea use the types of the titans from Path of Legends with Rock being Geeta's Tera Type since her team doesn't specialize in any type and unlike the Gym Leaders, E4 and Champ uses Terastal for the STAB boost and Glimmora is her only Rock-type.

no, swsh had a lot more double battles than this...

i just played through the entire game and ryme's gym was the only place with double battles. the gym guide even made them out to be a really unique thing. i miss emerald/pt when like 1/3 of the trainer battles were double.

I don't recall that many doubles in Platinum, although there tended to be one every other route at the worst, and it has been a long ass time since I played Platinum. But I remember Emerald having them as optional "caught in the sights of two trainers" things more than just two trainers next to each-other, so maybe I just have a shit Sinnoh memory.

According to shills the battle tower never matter and no one ever cared about it. Same for set mode, the national dex, exp share off, etc.
Basically everything that gets removed was always bad and no one cared about it, anything still in the game is great though, until it's not.
