>>52052352In Smogon tiering, I'd expect Annihilape to settle at UU.
Offensively, it's got a lot of good things going for it - solid offensive typing (Ghost / Fighting only fails to hit H-Zoroark line for at least neutral), high-damage STAB moves, a wide pool of respectable coverage moves, and U-Turn usually gets its own callout when it shows up. Between the elemental punches, EQ, Gunk Shot, Rock Slide and Acrobatics, you can effortlessly build a moveset that guarantees neutral coverage against every mon you'd face, and likely manages SE coverage against half of 'em. You're going to largely have to rely on your base ATK, as you have no self-buff moves.
Defensively, it's got base stats of 110/80/90, which is above mediocre but not quite "great". I'd expect it to survive a good hit, but probably not two of them. The Ghost/Fighting combo gives it 2 immunities, 3 resistances, and 4 weaknesses - again, mediocre. Immunity to Normal is going to be largely irrelevant, as is your resistances to Bug and Poison.
Speed stat of 90 is okay, but in that unreliable zone where you'd either need to go with a full-offensive Choice Scarf set, or just settle on being slow and try to capitalize on your bulk, typings, and relying on U-turn for tempo plays, while still bullying many of the newer pokemon who also suffer from low speed strats. Since 90 Spd is 'okay', it's also not going to work with Trick Room teams, which I can only imagine are going to be absolute powerhouses in this Gen's competitive scene.
Ability-wise, you're looking at mediocrity once more - two of them largely involve surviving the effects of attacks against you, and one of them is sleep immunity which is cool but not exactly game-winning in a majority of cases. Defiant is probably going to be your best bet, as it should trigger against all of the Intimidate-clone abilities of the new legendary quartet more reliably than it does from attacks that proc stat drops on hit.
