Plasma was probably one of the better executed teams of Gens 3-6, but given most of them are either reskins of the same concept or are, as you implied with your image, complete clown shit, I don't think that's really that deserving of praise. Wow, the villains have a motivation related to the overall state of the setting and aren't just after "the strong one", how bold of the writers to actually use Pokemon in the narrative of a Pokemon game. At least it's not Gen 7-9's "twist" villains, only Team Skull was fun out of any of those. Rocket was fine for one game, and I get why they were also central to the sequel but it's still a little lame and also the Radio Tower takeover is just awful from a gameplay perspective so I'm taking away points for making one of my favorite Pokemon games actively worse.
