>>52065611Am I the only one who HATES the new mons? Only about 10-20% of their designs actually look good. Like they really knocked it out of the park with some of them and some of the new forms, but maybe about 70% look unoriginal, lazily designed, or downright TERRIBLE.
The texture improvements are a really nice touch though.
Idk why GF has consistently squandered their potential with visually unappealing and cookie-cutter designs these past few gens. Almost all of these ideas could have been executed so much better and cooler. Yeah, there's still lots of soul, but at what cost when it looks like ass?
And don't even get me started on the starters. Feucoco's final evo is god awful. The other two are okay but are so humanoid and feminine. Don't get me wrong, nothing wrong with feminine Pokemon, I hate the ultra-masculine humanoid designs too (looking at you, Incineroar). And we all enjoy the Rule 34 the obviously feminine/masculine ones inspire. But for starter evos it's just disappointing. I miss when starter evos looked like gender-nuetral montrous animal-like creatures. Now it seems at least 2/3 have to look humanoid, and at least 1/3 have to look incredibly feminine. I don't even care about the bipedal/quadrupedal debate. These obnoxiously humanoid ones are just getting old
