typhlosionbros... i'm gonna check if they fixed his model in a few minutes. i'm just finishing up area zero then i will inject typhlosion in to the game. i'll update this thread when i'm ready. let's hope for the best for the best starter

Alright, but the hate for Typhlosion's 3D model is overblown. Even in Pokemon Stadium 2 he just stands there and the flames only come out during specific animations. That's an accurate portrayal of Typhlosion.

Its only half accurate, Typhlosion and the rest of the Cydnaqul line has their flames off outside of battle (useually), and had them on for the whole battle. Ash's Cyndaquil was considered an abnormality specifically because it didn't turn its flame on during battle and Ash had to teach it to do that.

I disagree. It's a waste of energy. Maybe if your Typhlosion is an untrained lose canon sure but a professional battling Typhlosion should bring out the flames when it's appropriate.

Sounds familiar but Ash's Cyndaquil failing to produce flames on its back would stop it from being able to produce strong attacks thus has to be trained. However a Cyndaquil that is always flame on is going to run out of energy too quickly and needs to be trained to use the flames more carefully.

That seems like a missed oppurnity for Dawn's Cyndaquil, it could have been hyper-aggressive and end up "burning out" battle, it'd be a good counterpart to Ash's.

ok, either the emulator is glitched or game freak truly hates this thing because i cannot get it to use its flames no matter what i try

i've seen it use lava plume, flame charge, but it just won't do anything
