How could they fuck that up? Legends Arceus made it obvious when a shiny spawned. There was a visual and audio indicator.

They probably decided it was too easy/obvious. There were times in PLA where I would hear the noise but not know where the shiny was, so I would keep moving my location to figure it out by sound lol

Word is PLA and SV were developed simultaneously but by different teams. Apparently GameFreak can't into communication, so SV is lacking PLA's best features despite the 9-10 month gap between the two

If you have autosaves off, yes. But unlike PLA if you run too far it'll despawn.

I've found 4 so far, a Shinx, Hawlucha, Cubchoo and Lechonk. None had sparkles in the overworld, and I'm convinced I've missed out of heaps of other shinies now. They really fucked up with this I think

It depends on which dump you got. Each one is coded to have a different guaranteed set of shinies so when the game is leaked they know which people dumped them
