fighting (blaziken, infernape, emboar, chesnaught, and quaquaval),

dark (greninja, incineroar and meowscarada),

ghost (decidueye and skeledirge),

ground (swampert and torterra),

and dragon (mega charizard and mega sceptile)

I also wish they were more liberal with the other types. we haven't had Flying (final stages) or Poison since Gen 1, Ground or Steel since Gen 4, Psychic since Gen 6, and we've never had a bunch of types.

The Machop line, Hitmonchan, and Hypno are all fairly humanoid. The Abra line and Hitmonlee aren't too far behind. Maybe Electabuzz as well (I'd give it a pass, but if it were new, I don't think you would).
The proportion of humanoids really hasn't changed that drastically, and I say that as someone that usually dislikes them. The problem is just that it almost always happens with the starters now.

This is the first time I haven't liked a single line in a Dex. In Sword and Shield, despite hating the starters, there was Corviknight, Dubwool, and a few others I found decent. I can't even claim a single one of these new ones decent. They're too awful.

What fucking concept does the Bulbasaur line has besides a frog that gets bigger with a blossoming flower on its back? And that's not even a concept in itself, they're just morphology features, much like Charmander is a lizard who grows wings and Squirtle is a turtle who grows cannons (somehow). They're not meant to fit any role or profession because of that, its just their natural evolution.

It is impossible for a human to make something without a concept.
If you look at the bulbasaur line's names outside of English it5prett self explanatory. Bulbasaur being number 1 is also a very obvious decision. The idea of bulbasaur is the idea of random monster, the exception that proves the rule. It is based on the idea of a random monster, that's the concept. It makes you think, it presents itself as no reason, so you consider the reason for other Pokémon. Etc. You shouldn't need to be told this.
