If they're in the water, yeah. I'm pretty sure there are a few on land. I know there's a Dragonite on land as well but that would be prohibitively strong, you'd have to be a real lucky fucker to be able to catch that right off the bat.

it's a mix of both, too easy to be entertaining for long.
this game is full of copy paster everywhere, there is no story, nothing interesting in "cities", a lot of buildings are closed, and when it's open it is just random restaurant everywhere
but I guess we will have : 20/20 just enough water

You won't be able to surf without making some progress. You might be able to throw a ball at one from the land to initiate battle, haven't tried to know if that's a thing, but failing that you probably just need to hope one gets close enough to the edge to touch.

Overworld is like PLA, but you can't catch Pokémon without engaging in battle.
Trainer battles are like SWSH, complete with easier difficulty and bosses always using their aces and gimmicks last.

Lmao you can literally just transplant saves on original hardware with checkpoint.

Backup scarlet/violet save, backup the other. Transplant first save into second folder and restore with checkpoint. Causes this tho

Just to let people know, if you want to reset EVs, havent found a way to directly do it, but you CAN get extremely large numbers of berries show up in Auctions at the Port city (forget name, you go there for the Water Gym Test), I just got 70 Qualot berries, auction ended at 20kish but you could probably get it way lower.

when does Dunsparce evolve?

Do pokemon disobey if they are too high level ( I have one badge and a level 46 deino)

why does the dragon mount have wheels? is there a way to run faster or climb etc or is it just jumping?

What's the deal with eevee and sylveon? it didn't evolve when I taught it a fairy type move just a few levels after.

Why is my camera, my map marker, my map itself etc constantly spinning? It doesn't do that for any other games.

Also, is there no way to just throw a pokeball at a pokemon to capture them? That was one of my favourite parts of arceus, the seemless way you could throw a pokeball without starting up a long stupid battle

When I send my pokemon out to auto battle and they level up and have icon appear on them as if they learned a new move, nothing actually happens.

Alright someone really needs to hold my hand with this one because I've been walking around with bramblin for HOURS, leveled him from 15 to 45, and the little niglet still won't fucking evolve.
There's TWO ways to bring out a mon to the overworld, one is throwing the ball with ZR, where the mon will pop out if the ball hits the ground instead of another mon. In this mode the mon will follow you around as long as it doesn't get too far away from you. Then there's the "let's go" feature, triggered by the R button, which will spawn the mon at your feet and attack the nearest pokemon without entering a battle. If no mon is nearby, bramblin will just chill there and do nothing even as you walk away.
I've asked multiple times in this thread and elsewhere, and people have told me to use the "let's go" feature and press R instead of ZR on multiple occasions.
Here's the big question: How the FUCK am I supposed to walk 1000 steps when this faglet keeps attacking other mons or just standing still when in "let's go" mode (R instead of ZR).
Can someone please tell me exactly what buttons to press and how to fucking walk this little piece of shit and possibly even where, to add it to my god damn pokedex? Thanks.

I'm the pawmo guy from the other thread. Use R button and literally just walk slowly back and forth on a path I went to and from the auctions up the long ass path and walked up the ice area mountain he finally evolved. Just press R to bring them out and then walk slowly everywhere. I think they literally need to be walking by your side for steps to count.

The expansion saved sword and shield for me and apparently this game at base is even more barren.

The game runs like hot garbage in docked mode (I have the physical release with the patch) more so than any other game. It needed 6 more months in the oven. That being said I love the game, and hope next time they just take more time to polish is because its sad seeing the graphics like this.

there are a lot of genuinely great moments and neat mechanics but its absolutely fucking baffling how the game is just shot dead in the cradle because of no level scaling. the positives dont outweigh the negatives but i will give some credit to the entire area zero segment probably being the coolest part of the entire series
runs like shit on both emu and hardware which drags down the entire experience. id give it a 7.5/10 if only for the new mons being a blast to use

Also wanna give the story credit for being more engaging than previous games. Shit like Arven trying to revive his dying dog is a simple but compelling and mature goal. Same with the Team Star leaders. It’s a lot more ground and human of a game. Being just some kid in school exploring an open world feels like what we’ve been asking for for years and finally a departure from the 10 year old chosen one shounen stories

yeah people love to shit on EXP candies for "making the game too easy" but you're never forced to use them and they're fantastic for raising mons postgame. i hated the days of constantly redoing the elite four to train up mons in old games
mints, hyper training, ability patches/capsules, and all of that seem to be back too, so that's good.

It's bad but that's not my point, you go through the story once.
My issue is with the post game where 99% of your game time will go, I haven't "trained" or readied up pokemon for the story since like silver.

It's even easier. Everything from Sword and Shield is back, you can buy Mints, Bottle Caps and Battle Items from the shop for cash and you can Hyper Train at level 50 instead of 100.

The same systems probably still work. I got a bunch of money items from raids and I've been fine.
Things are less expensive than I expected 20k for Leftovers, 20k for a regular Bottlecap, 20k for Mints. It'll probably be the vitamins you sink the most into. Still not sure how to wipe EVs though.

Says koraidon but shows miraidon. They are two different pokemon. Should be the red one but violet only has the purple one on the overworked so that is what it shows.
