Thankfully none of the gen 5 games have any major flaws that need fixing with a remake, so you can just play the originals safe in the knowledge that you're getting the definitive versions

I enjoyed this game even though it was just. Probably spent more time glitching the game out, going out of bounds, playing with the bad egg glitch and cloning Pokemon/items than actually playing the game though. But I had fun doing it so... I guess it's counts as a good game?

I'm really hoping that ILCA will do more BDSP-style remakes even though it still hurts that they didn't do a Platinum remake, I'm quite happy with the final result, very comfy games.
I didn't like SM or USUM nor SWSH and I hated PLA but BDSP are my favorite Pokémon games in recent years.

I think the problem is with this thought experiment: if you could somehow buy a Platinum port on the Eshop (and yes you can port DS games its been done before) you would have almost no reason to play this
Unless you really like the art style, I guess

The best thing is that if you have both games you can complete the entire Kanto to Sinnoh pokedex (excluding mythical Pokémon).

This, it doesn't add anything new. At least ORAS had new stuff and the ability to transfer mons in up to Kalos and even catch some of them in Hoenn in the postgame. BDSP doesn't have anything over the original game unless you really like glitches like >>52102686

BDSP are almost self contained and I find it great to be able to complete the entire Pokedex without needing any other game.

The only thing it even did new was the underground biomes (which actually removed features too, like capture the flag and base customization in return for shitty statues). A lot of QOL from platinum isn’t even there. It’s shit.
