the paradox pokemon are either pulled from the past/future or willed into existance by a sleeping old god at the bottom of the made in abyss crater
the villain is nobody really but the robot professor gets forcefully possessed by the security system to keep the wishmaker machine active and spewing paradoxes into the wide world
the game ends by the professor dying on the way back to their home timeline or just eaten by an old god
