Growlithe was never in any danger considering it was on every mainline switch game and had a regional variant in Legends to ensure it would return in the next game. Sad Infernape didn't make it but at least Legends saved my boy Typhlosion.

Marshadow got the boot but Breloom came back and Azumarill and Toxicroak avoided being cut, so I'm happy. Can't even use Marshadow in the story OR comp anyhow, so this is overall better.

We've known all the Hisuian Pokemon were in as transfers ever since they launched the game's website since there was a site article saying exactly that, which by connection means Growlithe was confirmed because they can't split regional forms from each other.
