National Dex should have been cut in Gen 3 and B/W was a step in the right direction.

BW had good designs. So it made some sense to use them, but still, bw2 was a huge improvement simply because it brought back old Pokémon.

Honestly probably won't happen with me. I'll have to wait and see when I get the game but as of right now the only new pokemon I love is Ceruledge. After it only a few new mons that I even remotely like.

Like this shit is getting real bad. At least SWSH had 3 pokemon I loved.

Your personal taste shouldn't affect whether you consider a dex to be decent quality or not. I fucking hated gen 5 and only like something like two Pokemon in the entire regional dex, but I can still admit it's generally a decent quality batch overall.

I genuinely don’t understand how people hate Pokémon designs. Since childhood there’s always been ones I preferred to ones I didn’t and over time my tastes even shifted where Pokémon from Gen 1 I initially overlooked became favorites. Monster design is just fun and every generation there are still some that appeal to me and some that don’t. Maybe I just don’t give Pokémon that much weight and influence over my life that I’m going to be pissed at a monster design. But I also love Aromatisse.
