>>52140342Oh, I definitely agree. GF makes some really baffling decisions and even if these were the titles I found myself enjoying the most, I think a lot of the complaints I see here are very valid.
It is frustrating that they removed Set mode, even if you can "just press B" it's still extra text boxes and that can get repetitive. Level progression for this game is also really weird unless you know the optimal order to go through everything. Some PLA mechanics being gone (new status effects were kino, throwing Poké Balls without going into battle made stuff really smooth, etc.) also really sucks and would have dramatically made the experience better. And the lack of more postgame material (E4 rematches? Some Battle Tower of sorts?) makes the game feel kinda empty once you're done with it.
I absolutely adore the game, but it does feel like with GF you can't have one really good thing without sacrificing a lot of other things.
