Swap teams then. There are almost 400 different Pokemon you could be using. As someone else pointed out, no one is forcing you to run the same team.

Agreed. Having stronger Pokemon in the wild is fine, but not having the gyms scale is an extremely questionable decision. While you can go to the gyms in any order, you're either going to have to grind like a stripper needing tips or you're just going to have to challenge the gyms in the "intended" order, which takes away freedom.

Its a really strange decision on GF's part, seeing as their excuse for why Pokemon games have become so handhold-ee in recent gens is that "Kids don't have attention span anymore lol"

It was gamefreaks job to balance the fucking game but its nice to be able to get a decent challenge out of every gym by using different level mons and brand new teams. You can just muscle your way through it like any other game or you can be creative and work backwards with peogressively weaker teams and less pokemon idk. Its bad game design sure but you can either bitch about it or make it fun somehow if you plan on getting it. I dont but i see potentially great challenge runs

Could've done SOME scaling. Like the first three gyms have a minimum ace of lv18 and a maximum of lv29, while the last two gyms have a minimum of lv45 and a maximum of lv55. That way there's still a perception of certain gyms being stronger than others.
