To be clear I am a free speech absolutist in the sense that no one should be arrested by the government for speech or art, or conversation unless it is the planning of an explicit crime that is an action other than speech.
But that doesn't mean people need to put up with the speech. If you run around shouting slurs, everyone is in their right to not associate with you, sell to you, hire you or otherwise.
Free speech exists for artists, journalists, protest and visionaries. It doesn't exist so that people can be assholes and live life as if they aren't.
