I had thought of a taller dragon built with a larger head with the same tissue surrounding Shelgon. But with a depressed disposition, darker and a few scars. Possibly higher physical attack but almost no special attack. Keeps Intimidate.

Agreed. I guess the Past forms design angle was just "Pokemon but more bestial" so while I do think they're cool designs I don't ever think they were going to do wingless Salamence. I'd have also liked to finally see that tank Hydreigon but the same thing applies to the Future forms.

if you checked his site around SM/SWSH leaks you would realize he used some pictures posted on /vp/ but at lower resolution.
his pics were all from Sword version because it was the first and only leaked version as well.
