I think my biggest grip with Quaquaval is perhaps the "pants" effect the area around the feet has, which feels incredibly unnatural (and this is coming from someone who personally doesn't mind Cinderace). Inteleon feels the more natural of the three. Primarina still doesn't sit well with me just because its concept was incredibly sexualized (they always feminize at least one of the starters - painfuly obvious with Meowscara for instance). The other two are believably more androgynous.
I do miss when starters weren't just "And here's X regions' final starter evo! - Game Freak, you've shown us a slightly edited version of Lucario for the upteenth time".
