Gen X will be based in California. The south of the map will be SF bay area inspired the north will be inspired by the LA area. The middle is a few small towns and a bunch of farmland

One game starts in the south the other in the North.

What's the angle for incorporating the "pokemon aren't tools, they're friends" moral that every game hammers home? It sounds like a neat game idea, but if you don't get that moral in there somewhere then you're not proposing something that could ever realistically get greenlit.

It could be set during the Darkest Day and have you battling against wild Dynamax Pokemon in boss battles similar to PLA's, except without the balm shit. You could wield the legendaries' sword and shield in boss battles - they'd be able to play it off as Zacian and Zamazenta inhabiting the weapons so it's actually using Pokemon to battle and therefore not cruel, if it bothers them so much. A third bow or crossbow-themed legendary would be fun too and give the player access to a ranged weapon

Surprised nobody has suggested a Scandinavian region yet. Jobmon starters could be all themed on viking roles, like a drummer for the boats, a lightning fast raider, and a navigator. There's plenty of legends to the region for natural forms, like finding out that mjolnir was based on an inert, mutated magnezone, or a massive sea serpent seviper
