Which game did the "invasive other-wordly species that shouldn't exist in our world" plot better? Also why didn't they give Solgaleo and Lunala UB names? Necrozma at least got "Black" in the anime.

The paras feel like new forms (but they're not) of existing Pokemon. They also don't have real names

The plot surrounding them is kino, their lore is actually somewhat creepy, and several look actually cool instead of LULSORANDUMB
The Ultra Beasts, I barely count the box legends as them, are barely even in the focus of the game they come from and are treated as an afterthought where they bring back two literal whos from Gen 3/4 to make you care about them
Travelling to their world was pretty cool in USUM but I expect DLC will top that

Why do we have to compare 2 completely different things??

Ones came from imagination and are based on old Pokémon and the others are actually aliens from other dimensions that doesn't even have to look like any Pokémon. 100% diferent concepts.

Anon, the "aliens from other dimensions" are also pokémon. And like the other guy said, they have a lot of similarities, I can even add more

SM by far. The crazy thing is that the scarlet regular dex looks more otherworldy then things like Bonnet and Mane. Glimmora, revaroom, arboliva, and even Grafaiai look more like ultrabeasts then they do pokemon.

The reasons why I personally gave the ultrabeast designs a pass is because they are literally pokemon from another dimension, obviously they are going to not exactly look like a normal pokemon.

The base game dex should NOT look like this.

Paradoxes have higher highs and lower lows. The only UB I particularly like besides the box legendaries is Kartana, but there's several paradoxes I like. I think they win despite having more, and worse, trash.

Not sure about the plot necessarily, but as far as concepts go, I prefer the Ultra Beasts over the Paradox Pokemon. Still a fan of both, but the Paradoxes still sort of miff me. Maybe they will grow on me more once I play the game for myself, and check out their animations too.

Game Freak gonna Game Freak. All it would take is a few new Pokedex entries to fix this for Cosmog, Cosmoem, Solgaleo, and Lunala. Maybe for Necrozma's light forms as well.
