Fucking agreed man, hated that shit in XY where it was at the worst because there were no mitigating factors. Doesn't help that if you actually want to complete the Pokedex you'll be catching a lot of Pokemon, and every single game with catching EXP also has a huge Pokedex.
>>52160605By that logic, XY would be the easiest Pokemon game, since there's so many mechanics to make you OP and basically none to nerf yourself. Similarly, BW would probably one of the harder ones, due to the limited Pokemon pool, EXP scaling existing, and an optional mechanic to reduce EXP gain on top of that. And BW isn't really hard, it's a very evenly paced game, the only thing that might fuck you up is Ghetsis' blatantly cheating Hydreigon if you don't use the legendary the game forces on you on it.
