I don't understand how it went so wrong.
These designs are either blander than a saltine cracker or are straight up ai generated feverdreams with way too much going on.
Theys aren't even necessarily "bad" as far as individual creature design goes(the mouse family is cute and all) but they do not work at ALL in a set. Either they stray so far into unintelligible garbled messy designs that I can't even tell what's going on half the time, or they're so boring that the evolutions barely change at all from prevo to evo. Pictured here is the bland, obviously. It's so Gen 1 that it's literally just an electric/fighting chinchilla, just a flamingo, just a sanrio mouse.
