6 million is a pretty substantial increase. If it does Gold Silver numbers in Japan it still needs 24 million overseas. BotW only just barely managed to achieve that this quarter and the only two other Switch games to have done it are Animal Crossing and Mario Kart, Smash is at like 22 million overseas.

I think it'll sell more than Sword/Shield, but less than Red/Blue. Remember that GameBoy has still sold more units than Switch has so far.

Probably - I mean we’ll eventually get a Pokemon game that does so (breaks red/blue’s record) based on population growth (and thus growth of the consumer base).

Though they say population is going to plateau soon and then we might even start seeing a global drop in the coming decades/century.

The Nintendo Switch is literally only 4 million units behind the GameBoys lifetime sales. It'll most likely overtake the Gameboy sometime in 2023.
