This franchise has gone to shit for more reasons than just wokenism.
I'm not even bother that much by the race and LGBT pandering, but I'm tired of subpar games selling like hot cakes, which reinforces the idea that they can get away with any kind of shit (and wokenism is just one particular flavor of shit), resulting in a positive feedback loop of shitty games rewarded handsomely.
If the backlash against the woke content is what causes this loop to break then it has all my support.

Have you ever considered the fact that if society at large accepts a given entertainment product and you don't, it most likely means you just have unrealistic standards? I agree as much as the next guy that some of the greatest pieces of art are often also the most niche, and what the population deems good doesn't always equate to quality, but ad populum fallacies can go both ways too. Pokemon sells a lot because well...it's Pokemon, and nobody expects it to be anything more than that. The real question here is, why do YOU expect it to be anything more than that? My guy, just find a new franchise.

The user reviews won't be kind to SV because of a whole host of issues the paid reviews will either downplay or fail to mention.
If you have been lurking here these days it's clear that there are issues with: graphics, music, artistic direction, dexcut, woke content and gameplay.
Combined they're enough to result into an average of 5/10 at best, while we expect paid reviews to average around 90/100.
So if you want to make an impact you have to figure out a way to tarnish the reputation of paid reviewers without falling into a gamergate 2.0 trap like it happened the first time. This is something the whole industry eventually needs to go through, it's not just a Pokemon's problem.

/vp/ is not a reflection of the general consensus and never have been. We all universally agree SwSh are the worst Pokemon games but that didn't stop them from selling 25 million copies.

Because it is the biggest franchise in the world and it can do better. It used to do better and cost less too which is understandable at this point since the whole industry has raised the prices but it should be pointed out when you pay more for a worse product. The games lack direction, ever since gen 7 at least arguably the signs were there with XY they can’t decide what they want to do. Every new game is 1 step forward, 2 steps back, it didn’t used to be like that. And to be clear I’m talking about the overall design choices not a single feature coming and going like people screeched about something pointless every other day.
