Themes are cool. I like theme, but I'm really not a fan of how many pokemon prioritize having a theme over everything else. Pic related is one example on how you do it right imo.

Infernale Is not a themed mon, it's LITERALLY Sun Wukong ctrl+v and given Fire hair. Much worse than a "theme." At least Empoleon Just has a generico Poseidon tridente and that's it

Sit the fuck down. Personal opinion but I like the trend of themed starters, they get to have their own little arc to go on alongside their trainer's. Alola's did it the best and they look damn great together to boot.
