I deleted all of my save files by now. Also I play on emulators. The last game I still have a cartridge and a save file is shield. So the oldest Pokémon is likely the scorbunny starter.

Man, I wish I kept my team on Ultra moon. Half my team is either stuck in home or split up across Shield and PLA. I regret sending them to home so much. Fuck the dex cut.

Probably only a few years old from X or Sun.
Used to have some from a Sapphire file that started in 06, but someone stole the copy of X that had my living dex on it back in 2015.

I still have my Pokemon Yellow cart from 2001 and the battery hasnt died yet. I've backed the data up on my PC just in case.

I thought Gen 1 pokemon couldn't be transferred over to the new system? They don't have genders, abilities, etc. I'd love to bring over my lvl 78 Scyther.

No, Home is just ass with dates.
All my Ruby mons from 2004 have the BW date of transfer on them.

I've done this. I got a gb card USB connector from a guy that makes them by hand in Australia, pulled my games from the late 90s, and saved my team with pkhex. It might seem a lot of effort for juat data, but it's cool to think I might have one of the oldest pokémon around. And if I have a kid that likes pokémon someday I can pass the collection over to them, otherwise just cremate me with NY venusaur lmao

I guess when they also transfered through palpark it added the date of them going into Gen 4 since the game released back in 09 and this was the only save file I had. found the original Medicham and 3/6 old Linoones used for farming. Good times
