I'm honestly surprised they kept Jynx in the series and even brought it back after the dexcut instead of simply erasing her completely after gen 1 or 2 and pretend she never existed.

Me too, I'm honestly astonished there wasn't some massive push to memory hole Jynx during BLM 2 years ago. I mean, they memory holed fucking Uncle Ben and Aunt Jemima in 2020, and those had much less credible arguments for being "racist stereotypes" than Jynx does.

I know, I'm more just surprised that there was no scandal in the west over Jynx at the time. After Floyd's death westerners went batshit insane combing through EVERY piece of media to find some "problematic" or "racist" joke or character from 20+ years ago to plaster all over social media and get cancelled. Old TV comedies were removing episodes from streaming services because characters wore blackface as a joke. Jynx would have been an easy target but for some reason was left alone.
