My first wild encounter after the Lechonk catching tutorial was a shiny scatterbug. Are the shiny rates glitched as well?

Keep in mind that you can only >see< them. Don't get used to the shiny sound and sparkles from PLA, because they're >not< present in SV.

why? that seems like a massive and important downgrade. with some of the earlier gens you can't even tell they are shines. they're just a lighter shade of green. and what about new pokemon? i don't know what some of them are supposed to look like.
