Started with the dexcut in 2019 and has just continued on endlessly since then.

There's a substantial number of people who genuinely think that this stuff is a life or death situation, and that by ranting about a Pokemon game on 4chan, Twitter or Reddit they're "speaking truth to power" and "starting a revolution" against le bad japanese video game company.

There's probably some overlap with teenage communists considering how often they both spam the word "bootlicker" over and over.

i too was part of the anti SWSH group because of dexit. after i played the game though, i just kind of quietly moved away from criticism and just participating in trading boards and breeding projects. i do think there is a good intention there like the slow creep decline of society in general, and perhaps the removal of things like post game is a symptom of a rotting world, but for me, im going to play the game and enjoy it, because there are not that many nice things in this life and world, lots of ugliness, so for me its a reprieve from the shit show that is our life and society but for others it ks evidence of the shit show, and i dont really fault then for that or denigrate their energy either, i just want to have a real argument not some half ass bullshit (ironic i know)

Scarlet was fun, but what's with all these ugly ass NPC bitches, not being able to enter random buildings, and the pitiful outfits? Also this game looks different from previous games, notably different artstyle from SwSh and PLA so that's not going to sit well with everyone, it was really unnecessary since we were all fine with how characters in SwSh and PLA looked. It's an okay game, 7/10 I'd say, unnecessary changes + possibly not having enough time to add everything it should have right away + frame rate kinda drags it down.
