I keep reading about performance but honestly I don't care, I still play janky Dreamcast games.

My question is, is the gameplay, adventure etc. good? And if it is good, are we talking Platinum, BW2, Soul Silver tier good or "at least it isn't SwSh" good?

Launch week means nothing. The question is if it'll have legs and keep selling after launch. If its reputation gets bad enough, it could seriously harm its long-term sales and Nintendo wouldn't ignore that.

It's one thing to have subpar graphics, but a whole other thing for your game to have lag that slows it down to 15fps, that shit is literally unplayable in this type of game. SwishySwoosh didn't have shit frame rate which is why people could excuse it's shut over world after all the Pokemon had decent models and looked good for the selfies and twitter pics that normies love.
