Cyberpunk had more game mechanics than this, thus had more bugs that broke the game. You can't even go into houses in this one. There's less that can go wrong, thus it's less broken.

Luckily the only bug I've run into is my hat not showing up on my toon. But that was solved by switching to a different hat then back again. The framerate is fucking atrocious sometimes though and the human npc animations are choppy as fuck

A third anon here. I also think Cyberpunk was more of a hot mess on it launch. At least I don't have to worry about my penis magically appearing outside of my pants in Pokémon. But SV are still bad. This could end up being the first mainline Pokémon game I get rid off, if they don't do any kind of patch by the end of the month.

I had this same bug as my only bug too, and had lag 3 times at most for a sec. Animations running at low fps while the game is stil running at decent fps cannot be considered lag or a bug, is that what people are talking about?

So far I've encountered all of these other than the broken AI; and that's because there is barely any AI in this game.

Still salty that I cheesed the dragon totem fight by the skin of my teeth with chip damage at level 20 and the game crashed right after with no save.

I've been playing on an OLED and have only encountered very minor graphical issues. Is SV's technical problems solely a software one or a partial hardware one? Let's not pretend the Switch is as strong as a base PS4.

And I've heard the argument involving other "open world" games, but SV renders the whole world and hundreds of models at once. Zelda uses fog to hide parts of the world not fully rendered, and Xenoblade 3 is not fully open world.

So what's the real answer?

Releasing games every year instead of bi-yearly was a huge mistake. The fix it later approach has never yielded great results let's be honest. You can only patch and quick fix so much before the code becomes a muddled mess.

Future Pokémon games are just gonna get worse down the line.

I've been playing on a lite and the bugs i had are very minor, like for example in one river miraidon would go under the water instead of floating. Or some light flickering when leaving a cave. But thats pretty much it.
Same for fps issues, very minor drops from time to time.
But people should complain, a lot, if the japs complain will be even better, perhaps game freak will do something about it. kek.
I'm having a lot of fun playing it tho despite everything

Obviously there's a ton of issues and glitches posted online, but I can only say personally that I keep getting texture pop-ins, emote animation bugs, and I keep getting teleported up cliffs because my Miraidon gets stuck handstanding at the bottom of ledges

It seems like poor optimization, but Switch hardware probably isn't helping. I wish I was having fun
