They’re essentially the exact same game, same engine, nearly the same gameplay, so why is the second one so much more boring than the first? Why does Ohmori hate fun?

God damn Arceus was such a good game, completed the entire dex and shiny hunted for my entire team. First time I actually felt adventure in a Pokémon game since the 90s.

Still weird that SV dumped or never even applied the little things from PLA's battles that made them more engaging and smooth. Aiming the pokeball, the pokemon actually making contact when hitting, having multiple Pokemon attack and battle you at once, and being able to move around all were nice changes so of course we'll probably never see them again.

These games were developed parallel to each other. Though being gamefreak and going back on improvements from previous games since 1996 it’s not surprising if we never see anything good from pla again.
