No, the framerate is the thing that's clearly obvious when you play, but it's not as bad as some people are implying. I've seen Anons insisting the game only runs at 10 FPS which is just blatantly wrong.

But most of the complaints on social media aren't even about the FPS, it's just hundreds of viral posts about "LOOK AT THIS HECKIN GLITCH WHICH MADE THE GAME LOOK ALL SILLY!" and all the replies are implying like its a regular occurrence.

SV's performance is godawful and deserves criticism, but in the eyes of normies that's all they will see. they're unable to separate the good from the bad and only latch onto whatever is put right in front of them. it's why so many of them were wanking off SWSH despite shit like dexit and the game being a boring slog.

In terms of graphics, I don't really understand the complaints because the graphics are objectively better than SwSh and PLA. Sure, you can say "that doesn't mean it's not still shit graphics", but acting like it's not better than what we had before is simply retarded. The Pokemon models in particular are a significant improvement.

In terms of framerate, yes, that's the big problem, but you can look on Twitter and Rebbit right now and see most of the viral posts are just dumb clips of glitches like the character bugging out and getting stretchy arms (which I have only seen one (1) singular clip of, and yet people are pretending like its happening to everybody).

Going from a 1 out of 10 to a 2 out of 10 is not something that deserves praise.
You yourself know that. That's why you're per-emptively coping. You yourself are saying that the graphics are STILL shit despite technically them being better.

I disagree. I've seen tons of people complaining about framerate and general jank.
Of course the massive glitches are gonna become more viral, they're funnier, but don't pretend there aren't a lot of the other type of complaints going around.
Stop trying to gaslight people by acting like if everyone is focusing in one single issue that is totally not that big of an issue in reality so you can try to pretend all the other complains are not happening.

It might have been contentious in its time, but its problems were never on the technical side.
SV are getting lambasted because Game Freak's incompetence in game development is reaching a point that even casuals can't ignore.

Pretty much this. I enjoyed Sword/Shield a lot and I would even say that they are objectively better games than Scarlet/Violet if only for the fact that they played like they weren't held together with scotch tape

These were all either not-problems or easily navigable problems. Slowdown in single player games is tolerable to a certain amount, but since Scarlet/Violet, I have:
>clipped through a door that I should not have
>got softlocked in the first city and had to fly to a previous location
>had sub 15 frames in cities
>clipped through random environment pieces in bad ways
>have had animations not play when they should, like moving right after talking to a NPC
All of which didn't happen in Sword/Shield but Zacian walks forward when rotating and they cut Stantler so game bad. And the worst part is that it's all normalfags that thought that open world would be a good direction for Pokemon but still complained that PLA wasn't true open world because they had loading screens in between zones. In fact, it would not surprise me if GameFreak made the game to be much like PLA in terms of world rendering, but had to splice the map all into one zone because people complained about 'true' open world.

This, and I've said it for years. Gen 6/7/8 were all simple, casual friendly games. Hardcore fans focus on things like difficulty or post-game content or the national pokedex, but most people just play Pokemon as a simple RPG. Technical failures of game design like characters glitching out or the game failing to render shit on-screen affects the average consumer experience, and SV has this in spades.

Gen 6 was fine. Gen 7 and 8 neither had these things nor the game to justify their absence.

My gf is sad that she can't enter buildings. Also cities and towns are too big with nothing to do and so few people that they feel like mausoleums. She complains abut the game world, with a literal line dividing a city and a savanna/desert. Oh, and she even notices everything is ugly now, like the floor you walk on, and the faraway models moving at like 2 fps.

She used to be a sucker for everything GameFreak put out. Opinion on SwSh "I had fun with it so I liked it" "But with this one she isn't having fun, can't imagine wanting to live in an empty world like this.

They mention it and still barely rate the game lower than any other pokemon game. They are glossing over it, and minimizing the clear decline in quality. I've seen plenty of normies just laughing at the bugs and glitches not actually commenting on why its bad. There are definitely more people saying something, but I don't think that group is large enough to actually matter in the grand scheme of things.

I think thats just the nintendo bonus kicking in. They would crucify almost any other series. I agree with you though the fact that aren't just pretending its not happening is better than nothing.
