I came up with the Machamp years ago for Sun and Moon but I redrew the whole line in MS Paint for this thread. The concept is "Machop line swims instead of weightlifting", going from a todder learning to swim, to a lifeguard and then a world champion swimmer. I tried to draw them 'ottermode' to further differentiate them from regular Macho-s.
>Machop
>Fighting
>In the absence of boulders to test their strength, Machop take up swimming to get stronger. The plates on their head help shield their eyes from salt water, while the muscle on their arms and hip help them float while they're still learning to swim. Their toes are slightly webbed, and their ability to use Water attacks is limited to bubble-blowing.They often require help in the water.
>Machoke
>Fighting/Water
>Now experienced at swimming, these Pokemon use their swimming prowress to help others in need. Although many think of them as lifeguards, the reality is they only help others to help build their own strength by carrying them out of the water. They are quite leaner than regular Machoke, and are experienced with using physical water attacks such as Aqua Jet. Not only are their feet webbed, but they also have fin-like structures on their arms, where regular Machoke have veiny muscle.
>Machamp
>Fighting/Water
>These Pokemon think of nothing but increasing their swimming prowress. A large waterproof fur mane helps them dry off after leaving water, and the webbing on their arms, hands and feet gives them incredible ability to move through water. In a direct contest of strength, they would lose to regular Machamp. However, their strength is increased 100 fold under water, where they can move even shipwrecks or Wailord with relative ease. They can outspeed even Sharpedo, and can be used as a replacement for a boat when jet-skiing. Not only can they use physical water moves, but by using their ability to manipulate large amounts of water with their webbed limbs they can use the likes of Hydro Pump.
