It's always pretty much 100% bad during this time, but you have the chance to actually get lucky after a few weeks. I got shinies and legendaries occasionally in SS, but it wasn't until the game was out for more than two goddamn days.

TM's are single use. I miss the sword and shield wonder trading. I would send pokemon that have tm moves I like. That is one of the reasons I hate poketubers. They just dump shit on wonder trade without consideration for movesets.

Ummm just get luckier, anon. I got all 3 starters, the fire lad, and all the version exclusives within the first few hours, just running around the beginning area going rando trades.
I am the guy flooding it with lvl 5 shitmons btw. At least 50 lvl 5 piglets you got came from me. I can be forgiven because I will be sending out starters with high stats and good natures soon enough and make up for it.
