There's also the fact that many 'philes are in a state of arrested development, they have a mindset or attention span of a kid without being 'truly' retarded, the mentally disabled type. There are a whole slew of reasons behind a Philia. Actually, same goes for child molestation, a lot of people who rape -just in general- are in a position of power and believe they can get away with it, attraction is rarely a factor. This includes child molesters. As much as you won't believe it, you'll have more problems out of the staff than with age-gapped students. I mean, shit, schools were once in a single room with individuals of all ages and this was never an issue, even when people were marrying at 13.
