During my playthrough I ran around the entire map before doing anything, then decided I wanted to fight the ghost gym leader.
My team was pretty strong so it was an okay fight, our levels were basically the same.
Then I go get my second badge at the electric gym leader.
My team is twice their level.

What's the point of open world when the game is clearly designed for you to do things in a set path?

Can someone just make a mod that either
1) adds level scaling
2) makes it so every trainer/gym fight has every mon set to lv.50, so it's about team comp and move pool rather than numbers

I'm very disappointed in this game. Not about the bugs/glitches/bad graphics.
But what's the fucking point of it being open world when the game clearly doesn't want you to play it like that.
