it's weird because if you compare mon sizes in SV with PLA, PLA's mons were bigger
sure it goes against the dex size but sometimes you have to give away for better gameplay, hate when I'm running around and accidently touch a tiny mon I didn't see

PLA had more variation in sizes. Most Pokémon are small and were designed to be smol too. Sometimes the anime ruined this perception because they did their own heights like Charizard not being a total manlet.

Hunting for Sinistea to evolve Ceruledge was such a pain in docked mode, they would literally be a couple pixels if you weren't right up to them. Which i guess makes sense if I'm literally looking for something the size of a teacup.

Even disregarding the "sex appeal" that endears her to pokefuckers, she's just a really sleek, cool design without any standout "goofy" elements that detract from it. Without pokefuckers I'd still see her being very popular.

Lucario is only 3'11. Meowscarada is 4'11 and Gardevoir is 5'3. The Gardevoir in the picture is of the taller variant so on average Gardevoir is only slightly taller than Meowscarada. It's funny to contrast how small Lucario and Zoroark are compared to those two.

i dont want to be that guy but comparing alolan concept art to galar is like night and day. it was the last region they really spent effort on a cohesive theme for the pokemon imo. the next two dexes feel all over the place in terms of quality and art style
