Yellow's gym leaders are a lot worse than Red and Blue's, though I wouldn't say they are good there either, so I was already burned out a good bit before reaching it, and the encounter rate combined with my self imposed 'tisms (no repels, explore everything) made me shut the game down and leave it aside.
Might go back to it someday because I really liked my team and it would be nice to see them cross the finish line.

Yellow was a good excuse to use Pikachu for the first time ever.
